*hums the Happy Birthday song*

After yesterday's Huskies for Christ meeting ended, Rachel said there'd be cake and icecream over and Jen's house. Jennie gave me a pink glow necklace before the group left the HUB. I consider the necklace to be my first gift. Anyway, it took awhile for the party to start happening at Jen's. When I first entered the kitchen, I noticed a huge chocolate chip cookie on the counter. I wondered why it sat there, then entered a room with a fireplace. At first I just sat around, looking at my friends and listening to their voices. I did some talking too of course, but for the most part I didn't say anything. Once the lights dimmed, I knew something special would happen. My friends sang happy birthday to me, and presented me with a cake that had vanilla icing and lots of candles on it. No, I don't know how many candles were used total, since I didn't count them. It could've been 24 for all I know, or a smaller number. In any case, due to all those candles being there, it took me awhile to blow them all out. Jen then asked what I wanted to eat, cake or part of the chocolate chip cookie. Normally I would've gone with a cake slice, but Rachel got a strange flavored-cake that I didn't feel like trying. I also had vanilla ice cream topped with caramel sauce. The food tasted great, though I did end up freezing my throat by eating the ice cream too fast. I hung around the house 'til sometime after 10:00pm, then David took me home. Rachel suggested I put the necklace into the freezer, so it could retain its glowing capibility.

Who all was at the house? Me, Rachel, Jen, David, Ryan, Jennie, Carrie, Roger, and some other people I can't name.

Rachel's suggestion turned out to be a good one. I took it out of the freezer this morning, and placed it on top of my meal tray. It glowed in a lighted area!

In class today, I passed out chocolate hearts to my classmates and my teacher. One of the students handed me a birthday note when class ended. She did spell my name wrong, but I forgive her since she hasn't spent much time around me. If we were girlfriends who spent time at each other's houses or someplace hanging out, she'd probably know the correct spelling because I'd tell her. I'm thinking of giving a chocolate to my afternoon busdriver.

My parents will be picking up cupcakes and Olive Garden stuff (Fettuchine Alfredo, virgin strawberry Daiquiri) for me to eat later. The cupcake platter is a custom design that's a Fantastic Four theme. (Blue four in a white circle, surrounded by a blue ring.) My dad had the idea of ordering a white cake and surrounding it by cupcakes, but this fizzled after he realized that a project of this type would be better suited for a big group of people.
