library visit

I didn't want to visit any places that would tempt me to buy something. I'm low on cash at the moment, and am working on saving up again. My dad made the suggestion of dropping me off at the library, and I agreed to that. Yea! I'd have a chance to take some more books off my booklist!

The library had other ideas, however. None of the books I wanted to check out were available to me. I did find a manga book though. Cardcaptor Sakura vol. 6

I'm used to manga books being read "backwards" (from right to left). That's how I read the Cardcaptor Sakura book I own at home (vol. 2), and the three Yu-Gi-Oh! books. The book I checked out is of the "flopped" variety (read like a "normal" book), only I didn't realize this 'til I waited for my parents to come by again. My mom showed up, wanting me to look up a book for her. (She doesn't know how to use the computers.) I remember the title being The Last Ride, and the author had a last name of Edison. It wasn't in either.

I figured out why my library book is in a different format from the one I own. Different distributers. The Cardcaptor Sakura book I own at home is distributed by Kodansha Bilingual Comics. The library book is distributed by Tokyopop. Looks like Kondansha prints anime in its original style (right to left), but the other distributer flips the images, allowing me to read it from left to right.
