In the world of Pokemon, a member of Team Aqua gave an old man a hard time. The old guy (called Mr. Briney) had orginally promised May that she (along with her friends) could use his boat, but after the encounter with the Team Aqua member, he pretended he didn't know her. The setting for the episode was a ghost town, located near an old port. To be honest, today's episode wasn't very interesting. I enjoyed the other cartoons a whole lot better.
Things didn't look good for Joey during his battle (with Yami as a partner). His lifepoints went down to 300! I was starting to think he'd be a gonner, but then Yami tricked one of the Big 5 members into destroying a Mirror Force card. Joey however panicked, totally freaking out his friends who were watching him. He truly was panicking, but Yami said his friend was acting. At one point, I thought the duel would. Unfortunately, it became time for a shrine magic card to be used (effect being that a high star monster could be played without the need for sacrificing), and Nesbit (I think he took control over Tristan's body at this point) drew the most powerful card in the game. I'll have to wait 'til next week to see what the card is.
Static used to work alone (though his best friend would help him from time to time), then became part of a duo (when his best friend adopted the moniker of "Gear"). He's now part of a trio, with a female character who's real name is Denise, and has the moniker of "Shebang". (She first appeared in a previous episode, but I barely remember it.) Virgil didn't always like the trio idea though. Denise drove him nuts, and was told so by Static and Gear. They wanted her to go solo. It wasn't just a hero reunion in this episode of Static Shock. Old villians grouped together too. One of them originally had the power to control people, but she lost that power. Somehow she did gain the power Static himself has. (In a comicbook store, Richie told Virgil about a superhero losing old powers, and gaining new ones. Virgil thought of the possibility of that happening to "Bang Babies" too, but Richie shot that idea down. "It only happens in comicbooks, not in real life." Ha! He was proved wrong!)
