a package (last section in my entry is about something else)
3:08 p.m. on 2004-01-03

When I opened up the mailbox today, I saw a package inside addressed to me. I haven't ordered anything recently, so I knew someone had decided to send me a surprise. I couldn't get inside when I wanted to though because some small pieces of mail flew out of the box. I had to do some running after them, and then come back home. (One flier went into the next-door neighbor's yard.) Needless to say, I was out of breath when I went inside the house. For the rest of today, I plan to stay inside! It's cold outside!

I thought the package would be from a former penpal of mine (Would've been nice to have recieved some more mail from you, Mindy!), but instead, it came from a new penpal, named Diana. She enclose a letter, lots of FBs, and a CD she made for me. Two of the FBs are humongous in size. I'll need to get special envelopes when mailing them to friends. I did like Diana's package. She's a nice person. I'm happy she's one of my current penpals.

I want Monday to get here! My tearaway calendar is boring this weekend. I thought it would show pictures all the time. The sheets for the 1st and the 2nd. of this month pictured Mr. Fantastic (Reed Richards) of the Fantastic Four. I wasn't sure if the Marvel tearaway would have images of the FF in it or not. (The box mentioned how it would show the popular characters, and other characters are more popular and better known than the Fantastic Four.) The sheet for the weekend though just has a boring chart about Reed's levels when it comes to stuff like strength, speed, fighting ability, and intelligence. On Monday, I'll see a pic again, this time of the Human Torch. (Part of the image of Johnny is showing through the sheet with the chart on it.)
