Do any of you have a favorite episode of Reading Rainbow? I have several, but the one I can't help but laugh when I see it is the diner one. It's funny when LeVar attempts to make a pancake out of a milkshake, and pours the pancake batter into the glass! It's also funny when he doesn't understand the diner talk at first, and messes up all the order. What about when he attempts to talk diner tallk on his own for lunch, only says the wrong words? My favorite segment is about the pasta-making family. One of my fave. pastas, tortellini, is mentioned in the segment. In fact, this particular episode of Reading Rainbow first introduced me to tortellini. I hadn't heard of it before. I watch this PBS show when I don't have college. Most of the time, I'll see episodes I've already seen before. I'll skip some of them, but watch the rest. I'm 22 years old, and don't mind saying I watch a tv show about children's books (and other things as well). Maybe it helped spark my love of reading, along with my mom? She loves to read, and passed the love to me. I just wish the opening of the show hadn't had changed. I miss the original show opening with kids turning into cartoon characters.
