Last week's Yu-Gi-Oh!
6:04 p.m. on 2003-11-15
The first duel between a duelist and one of the Big 5 took place between Yami (who took over after Yugi had a little talk with his opponent) and Gangsley. Cards are selected by touching them. Yami's eyes kept going back and forth, 'cause he didn't want to miss one. Next came the choice of Deck Master. One would think the Dark Magician would have this role, but Kuriboh came to life, so Yami was stuck with him. Kuriboh had one moment where it carressed Yami's cheek. Okay, so the monsters are real enough to touch the duelists?
Seto and Mokuba came across virtual reenactments of the time they spent in an orphanage. Mokuba used to have the nickname of "Mokey", but times changed later, and Seto stopped using the name. I thought the last name of "Kaiba" was one the brothers were born with, only to find out it's the last name of their adoptive father. (Seto says "stepfather" for some reason.) The guy didn't like kids at all, but made an appearance at the orphange so he'd look good in the public eye. He adopted Seto and Mokuba after losing a chess game to Seto. During an earlier part of memory lane, young Seto said that emotions are weak. I didn't like that part, but after seeing the memories, I can no longer say I completely dislike Seto Kaiba. I'm not a big fan of him like yami-angel, but I'll admit to him being cool, in a way.
Gangsley took the form of Deep Sea Diver, so he served as his own Deck Master. He thought Duel Monsters was all about strategy and force, and it looked as though he were unstoppable. Everytime he lost lifepoints, Yami lost energy. He kept gripping one of his shoulders, but refused to give up.
