writing in here again

I wish there were some free pen pal sites available that I could check out. I used to go to apenpalworld.com, but now that URL is used for something other than pen pals, which really makes me mad.

I don't want to get rid of any of my current pen pals or anything. I'd just like to add some more, so I can go through my stationery and pens a little bit quicker.

I paid a visit to the YJ MB today. The dad of one of the YJers died, which is never a good thing. :( Gah! I'm so behind with that book. I should start looking for backissues again, so I can play catch-up.

Tomorrow I'm expecting a call from my comicbook shop. The Thing: Freakshow #2 is coming in, and I prepaid for all 4 issues of that mini. I hope it gets better as it moves along. The first issue was okay, but I didn't like how Ben was portrayed. Compared with the current Fantastic Four storyline however, I like Freakshow better. Geoff Johns is the writer, and Scott Kollins is the artist. (I met them at a comicbook convention earlier this year.)

Next month FF 59 and FF 60 will arrive in comicbook shops. The first one should come the first Wednesday in August, and issue 60 will come on the fourth Wednesday in August. I'm not sure why this is happening. Waid's run will start with FF 60. I'm a little worried about how he'll handle the book, especially since he didn't like what Pacheco did in FF 39. (Waid couldn't relate to Ben in the 70s and 80s when he was the star of Marvel Two-In-One and The Thing.) I hope my fave. FFer doesn't change too much under Waid's guidance.
